More than ever before, Americans are suffering from Obesity, Diabetes, Eating Disorders, Chronic Fatigue, Cancer and Heart Disease. Appetite for Balance was created to empower individuals to find clarity, confidence and enjoyment again when choosing what to eat, why to eat and how to eat.

I once spent day in and day out with low energy [blood sugar crashes/hypoglycemia], digestion imbalances, skin irritations [eczema and acne] and mood swings [depression]. I spent several years trying to solve these, what seem to be common problems, by going to the doctor. I was given several prescriptions like ‘the pill’, face creams, and antibiotics to help remedy the problem. But then I became dependent on the next prescription rather than healing my body. That is when I turned to learning about healing through food choice and lifestyle habits. And as I began to eat more whole foods my life became more whole. My journey to eat and live healthy is a constant evolution. My needs change everyday, just as life changes. Optimal health requires a holistic approach, honest conversation, an open mind, conscious choice, positive thinking, and most importantly support. Please join me and begin your journey to wellness.

As a board certified Holistic Health Counselor (HHC), I graduated from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN) in New York City, which is in partnership with The State University of New York (SUNY) and is accredited by the American Association of Drugless Practitioners (AADP). IIN gave me the privilege to learn with from some of the most leading names in Nutrition and Holistic Health Care: Deepok Chopra M.D., T. Colin Campbell, David Wolfe, Geneen Roth, Dr. Bernie Siegel, Neal Bernard M.D., Walter Willet and many more.

Before Health Coaching, I worked for a publicly traded retailer in the Human Resources and Multi-management responsibility. And prior to that, I taught Second Grade at an Urban Autistic Magnet Public School. These experiences have lead me to believe that food and lifestyle choice can be the foundation to living a happy, fulfilling life.
